Choc Protein Balls

Jan 07, 2022

Feeling peckish for something sweet, but don’t want your blood sugars to surge into high levels?

Nourishing fats & proteins make all the difference!

These delightful chocolate flavoured balls are full of the mineral rich nuts and seeds, gut healing collagen and the healthy fats of flax, coconut, nuts & tahini. So you can feel fuller but also enjoy your slightly sweet snack- guilt free.

If you’re breastfeeding and cacao doesn’t seem to upset your baby, these are a great snack to keep you full and support your mums milk production.

What You'll Need:

1/2 cup flaxseed meal

3/4 cup nut or seed butter

1/2 cup tahini

10 pitted medjool dates

2 tablespoons collagen powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1-2 tablespoons maple syrup (depending on sweetness you prefer)

1 desertspoon coconut or MCT oil

1 desertspoon cacao powder

Pinch himalayan or celtic sea salt

1/2 cup cacao melts, chopped or your fav dark chocolate chips (I use Changing Habits)

What You'll Need To Do:

Add all ingredients into your food processor and blend until well combined.

Squish the mixture into your hands & roll into the desired sized ball.

Enjoy 1-2 balls as desired or freeze to serve up later on.
